No other neighborhood in the Indianapolis area provides its residents with such a variety of neighborhood spaces and facilities for people to meet, work, entertain and relax. At the completion of the Village of WestClay, Brenwick will have invested in excess of $18,000,000 on community amenities alone. Designed to complement and enhance the architecture of the distinctive homes, these places form the heart and soul of The Village of WestClay®, contributing to a unique and identifiable sense of community and pride of place. The natural environment is also important. More than 160 acres of open space add to the quality of life at WestClay, providing opportunities for active recreation on the trails or playfields, or quiet reflection on the park benches around the lakes. Almost nine miles of paths (and more of sidewalks), all leading to real destinations, create a pedestrian-friendly environment, oriented toward safety and fitness. The path system also connects to Coxhall Gardens, a 120-acre Hamilton County Park adjacent to the Village. Explore the community centers and parks all within The Village of WestClay: Provost Park Clubhouse & Recreation Area includes a pool, tennis courts, fitness equipment, and an aerobics room. A beautifully furnished clubroom is available to the residents for community or private functions. Webster Park, features a clubhouse with fitness center, a swimming pool that overlooking Dogwood Pond, a clubhouse and 2 tennis courts situated in the woods. Goldwater Park, in art deco architecture includes a clubhouse with kitchen, clubroom & fitness center, a pool, tennis courts, a baseball field and a proposed basketball court. The University Green, a public open space upon which the wrought iron Victorian Gazebo, Founders' Corner and the croquet court are located. Many WestClay community activities take place in University Green including the annual Ice Cream Social and Croquet Tournament. In the warm months outdoor weddings are held on the Green. Ronald Reagan Green, the newest addition to the Village of WestClay, is a 2-acre park featuring an open air pavilion, life size chess board, bocce ball court, a putting/chipping green and horse shoe pits. Pocket Parks The Village of WestClay has been designed so that each home is located just a few blocks away from a pocket park. Each park features different playground equipment and many have their own unique features: Adams Green, Broughton Green, Deerstyne Park, Founders Corner, Halifax Park, Halsey Green, Herman Wells Park, Nimitz Park & Pershing Green. Connor Trail, a walking, jogging and biking trail that meanders throughout the Village Center and the neighborhoods of The Village of WestClay®. Harrison Park, a parkland with ponds extending from the Village Center to Hourglass Lake at the northeast corner of The Village of WestClay®. A Nature Preserve is proposed in an existing wooded area. Coxhall Gardens The Village of WestClay is fortunate to have a 120-acre Hamilton County Park on its southern border. Its formal design will include an amphitheater, bell towers and a walking trail that connects to the Village of WestClay’s Connor Trail. Everything in Coxhall has been designed to fit perfectly with the Village’s architectural theme. |
